Good find, mitch. A lot of programming going on there:

1) Equating a rediscovery of a long hidden truth with "a new religion." We're religious zealots if we dare speak of demonstrable facts in nature proving we live on a horizontal plane with irregular hills and valleys throughout it.

2) It's a "conspiracy theory." Tie the truth into the JFK saga.

3) Further, have Trump release "classified documents" purporting to divulge more information, never mind that flat earth truth is totally unrelated to JFK.

4) Push the "Flat Earth Society" as being representative of the truth, and provide a link so that newbies are immediately turned away from further research.

5) Take the position that "space exploration has sent back images of the planet...," even though those images have been proven over and over to be fraudulent CGI creations.

6) Link the truth to "controversial claims" that the "web especially seems to love," as though "the web" is a sentient being capable of seeing through the lies of the Masters' deceptions.

Wholeheartedly agree; another very "feeble attempt at damage control."

I would bet that almost all young millennials believed Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth fairy were real just a few years ago.

Hello all, recent newcomer here. I scoured this thread and I am almost certain that I haven't seen this vid being mentioned, so here you go.



This was aired in the UK. I am not sure if it was aired internationally but it was a very popular series in which contestants earned points for saying something 'Quite Interesting' along with being penalised for answering with the incorrect, or misinformed answer.

I remember watching this episode years ago, and I remember being surprised by this short segment, but because at the time everyone trusted Stephen Fry (the host) with his words. Probably because he was just go gosh darn charming. Watching it now though, with an open mind, I find the whole video filled with little hints and nods, which in turn i now find Quite Interesting.

I can't remember watching this when it was aired but i now find this be worth watching too. Strangely enough, this clip involves someone in the crowd who trekked across Antarctica.

There is this ongoing anti-geometrical assumption amongst globenuts that roundness or circularity *entails* sphericity virtually always, which is ridiculous on its face, but their clever chicanery has enshrined this falsehood in people's minds as science. It would be like saying every pizza slice is actually a pyramid if it was projected on a big enough scale. Saying that's there's actually a pizza galaxy full of floating pyramids that suggests that all pizza slices are composed of pyramid shaped molecules because my pixelated telescope says so doesn't make it true.
